Do you know of an easy way to remember what the circulatory system is about? Think about this: the word, circulatory, includes part of a familiar word: circ..or circle. So, this means that in our bodies, the circulatory system is a system that has parts that move around and around and around...constantly. The question becomes: what is in the body that circulates all the time? Answer: blood, which carries with it all the nutrients/food, vitamins, and hormones important for body maintenance and functioning.
It circulates through three independent systems working together: the lungs, the heart and blood vessels (arteries, veins, and other related vessels)
To remember the basic parts of the circulatory system, try thinking 'circle' and then the different parts that make up the circle.
