Chemistry Vocab Scrambled Word Maze #06

Academic chemistry vocabulary word maze puzzle uses scrambled letter word clues! Includes a list of 25 word clues. Puzzle is suitable for students in grades 9-12 academic chemistry and homeschooling environments. Note that letter paths in this puzzle DO cross, increasing the challenge and complexity of the puzzle. The scrambled letters do not always represent the number of letters in multiple word word clues. For example: 'covalent bond' may be represented as 'abcde lnnoovt'.

Solve the puzzle:
-FIRST, rearrange the letters in each word clue to reveal the hidden words; record the correct spelling to help with solving the puzzle
-REMEMBER: letter paths travel: vertically, horizontally, forwards, backwards, diagonally AND the word paths DO cross
-NEXT, locate the circled letter, which is the starting point
-NOTE: letter paths DO cross, which increases the complexity of this puzzle
-THEN: trace the letter paths from the beginning start bubble to the end; the result is a maze like structure, with criss-crossing letter paths within the grid
-FINALLY, check off each word as you find it, to track progress; also avoids duplication of effort when trying to decipher the next word in the path

2b. other interactive ideas: 1) organize information between the two word lists based on any number of criteria, or 2) match academic chemistry vocabulary with elements of the periodic table, or 3) encourage students to spell academic vocabulary using periodic table symbols [e.g. spell the word: C A R B O N using the elements: Carbon, Argon, Boron, Oxygen and Nitrogen; or could C A R B O N be spelled using different symbols?]
3. have students work collaboratively on any of a number of interactive activities
4. can students use the periodic table of elements to spell their names?
