Solve the puzzle:
l. locate words hidden in the grid
2. use the letter hint to start each word
3. trace the word path
4. track progress by checking off each word as it is found in the grid
Choice board activities could include:
l. ENCOURAGE creativity by getting kids to develop their own puzzle set for others to solve: word searches using blank grids (see links below), crossword puzzles, scrambled letters, or matching puzzles
2. ENCOURAGE students' imaginations by having kids combine earth space words with music to create something new!
3. DEVELOP students' resourcefulness and creativity by getting them to construct a model for one of the words listed. For example: solar system, spring equinox, planet in orbit around the sun using the correct specifications (e.g. location of planet relative to the sun)
