Solve the puzzle
Step 1. Rearrange the scrambled letters to reveal the words to fill in the blanks. Print the correct spelling.
Step 2: Review the list of words and note: the word with the least and the greatest number of letters.
Step 3: Using the letter hints, locate the words that match the letter hints and then fill in the blank spaces.
Step 4: Fill in the remaining blank spaces with the words that share common letters.
Step 5: Track progress by checking off each word as it is located.
Choice board activity ideas:
l. Students develop word search puzzles using blank templates (see link below).
2. Create treasure maps using a landform as the locale: volcano, under the ocean, in a stream, lagoon, estuary (remember to include a legend, compass rose)
3. Assemble a 3D model of a landform (student's choice) remembering to include color and labels.
4. Organize landforms using any number of identifiers: size, location, land, water, both, other?
