Are puzzles good for the brain? In one word, yes! Puzzles activate brain cells as they look to make connections between and among concepts. This music freeform crossword puzzle is a great example of a resource to engage students' brains, activate their problem solving skills as they work to fill in the blanks with the music terms.

To solve the puzzle start by filling in the blanks with words that have either the least number of letters or the most number of letters. As an alternative find a word where it's the only one of its kind in terms of number of letters.
