Here is a summer activities word search puzzle to challenge the brain, engage problem solving tactics and give kids ideas of all the types of things they can do during their summer away from school!
To solve the puzzle all the words in the word list are hidden in the letter grid. First, review the list. Next, remember that words can do up, down, forward, backward and diagonally in all eight directions. Then, using this information, the brain has a tendency to make words 'pop' out of the grid. Once the brain knows what to look for, and the different directions the words can be found, then the brain can adapt to what it is looking for.
Finally, check off each word as it's found in the grid.
