Differentiate for Learning

Looking for differentiated classroom activities to support learning to read? Interactive K-2 classroom activity page includes one word search, one image and a sentence to support vocabulary building of direction/position words. There are 5 direction words hidden in the grid (away from, right of, upside down, down, below). The image and sentence focus on the same direction word (away from).

The number of blanks in the sentence is a clue to the number of words to print. For example: when the student sees, ' ____ ___', then the answer would be 'away from' (for this activity page).

Use this activity page:
~ to introduce 5 new directional words (away from, right of, upside down, down, below)
~ to support fine motor skill development (trace letter paths in the word search, printing)
~ to engage the brain (image, puzzle, sentence)
