Multisyllabic Words 3rd Grade

This collection of multisyllabic words is suited to 3rd grade students. Playing and having fun with words helps students acquire more vocabulary and gain confidence as learners. Multisyllabic words are words that have more than one syllable, or parts to the word. For example: red, read, some, none, up, down, in, out, are all examples of words that have one syllable. Examples of multisyllabic words include: forest, animal, jungle, breaking, unhappy, happy, singular, plural and their syllables will usually contain a vowel. By separating words into their parts (syllables), students learn more about word patterns and structure.
